Why it matters
This week brings substantial tooling improvements to the Hono project, with the adoption of Vite+ and faster Rust-based tools (oxlint, oxfmt) that significantly speed up development workflows. v4.13.9 shipped with JSX and router fixes. We've also adopted Vite+ tooling and replaced Prettier and ESLint with oxfmt and oxlint—format time now 0.09s, lint time 0.8s.
This week Hono v4.13.9 released with JSX Suspense fixes and improved router behavior. Beyond that, we've modernized our entire toolchain: migrated to Vite+, replaced Prettier with oxfmt (45x faster), and switched to oxlint (5x faster). Our format step now completes in under 0.1 seconds. These changes make development faster and CI more efficient without affecting the runtime library itself.
