What shipped

Why it matters

This week fixed generated code and test build problems that Encore.ts and Go users hit in normal work. Deleting or renaming a service no longer leaves behind generated files that break tsc, packages with secrets at the top of the first file build correctly in tests, and rewritten files keep their line numbers so Go 1.27 coverage points at the right code. Dependency bumps keep the CLI and runtime current.

This week in Encore: stale encore.gen files are cleaned up when you delete or rename a service in Encore.ts, test builds of packages with secrets compile again, rewritten files keep their line numbers for Go 1.27 coverage, and the CLI and runtime dependencies were bumped.

Post for LinkedIn

This week in Encore we fixed a few issues that affected everyday work. Deleting or renaming a service in an Encore.ts app no longer leaves stale generated files in encore.gen, so tsc --noEmit passes without manual cleanup. Test builds of a package whose first file declares secrets no longer fail with a syntax error. Rewritten files now keep the user's line numbers, so Go 1.27 test coverage reports the correct lines. We also removed the built-in Intro to Encore.ts tutorial from the encore app create template picker, added rs and py to the README SDK description, and bumped dependencies across the CLI and runtime, including golang.org/x packages, grpc, the AWS S3 SDK, gorilla/websocket, go-containerregistry, golang-migrate and kin-openapi.

What shipped

Why it matters

Trace data management improvements in v1.58.6 help developers handle larger trace volumes more efficiently. Build configuration changes ensure optimized artifacts are shipped to users.

Post for X

V1.58.6 is out: paginate and filter traces in the daemon CLI, with trace data now budgeted by size. More efficient trace handling for larger workloads.

Post for LinkedIn

V1.58.6 is live with improvements to trace management. Developers can now paginate and filter traces directly in the CLI daemon, and trace data is budgeted by size rather than count for better control over memory usage with large trace volumes.
